LuAnn Palazzo started the process for this artwork, where each artist would receive the image via email and after adding their elements, the image would be passed on to the next artist. Once completed, the artwork was printed as a high resolution 14" x 11" image for the exhibit.

Artists’ Statement:
“Don't Touch That Button” is a piece premised on the Exquisite Corpse game invented by the Surrealists, in which a collection of words or images was assembled by artists who added to a composition in sequence. The Mail Art version of the game, called Add and Pass, was played by these seven international artists in May 2014 expressly for this exhibition. They played the game across half a world, using email to digitally complete the collage.

Visions of Bosch: Sneak preview 28 Sept. 2013

Hieronymus Bosch, born Jeroen Anthonissen van Aken (c. 1450 - August 9, 1516) was an Early Netherlandish (Dutch) painter of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. Many of his works depict sin and human moral failings. Bosch used images of demons, half-human animals and machines to evoke fear and confusion to portray the evil of man. His works contain complex, highly original, imaginative, and dense use of symbolic figures and iconography, some of which was obscure even in his own time. (From Wikipedia)

The concept of this exhibition is unique in that after the artworks have been displayed, they are collected together in small groups by the curators and then dispersed randomly (for free) throughout the city in a method resembling the distribution of hand-delivered newspapers. The project was conceived in Berlin, Germany (2006) by Aisha Ronniger who delivered the artworks to the public - hence, the Papergirl reference.
